Senator Ron Johnson to Speak at Concordia University [FREE EVENT]

The Young Americans for Freedom chapter at Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin, will host conservative icon and Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson to speak this Friday, April 19th, at 10:00 A.M. The event is one of many impressive speaker events held by the young conservative group, which started on campus in the fall of last year.  This is your chance to ask your senator a question! In addition to speaking, Senator Johnson will answer audience questions. Folks and students from left, right, and center will be in attendance to meet the senator.  “This is such an important event because, especially right now, the people of Wisconsin are feeling disconnected from the happenings in D.C. By providing the opportunity for young people to speak to their senator, we are helping them elevate their voices in our American democracy,” said Nick Taylor, chairman of the Young Americans for Freedom chapter. He continued, “Also, Wisconsin is arguably the most vital swing state in this election cycle, so it’s important to get people motivated and educated.”   The event is free to attend and will be held in the Terrace Room, room 114, located on the second floor of the Albrecht building at Concordia University in Mequon. I am a Swiftie. More than that, I’m the Swiftie. At the ripe age of five, I sang her songs and danced to her music videos. Now, at 18, I still sing her songs and dance to her music videos, but now I also analyze and cry to her lyrics, spend thousands (of my parents’) money on concert tickets and merch, and spend countless hours online ruthlessly and knowledgeably defending her name from random strangers on Facebook and TikTok. Gov. Evers Is Taking Action on His Own Legislative Maps MONDAY MORNING

Gov. Tony Evers is taking action on his own legislative maps on Monday morning, Wisconsin Right Now has learned. Sources say the governor has scheduled a 9 a.m. press conference at the State Capitol, and he's billing it as taking action on his own maps proposal (t echnically Senate Bill 488 ), sources told WRN. The Republican-controlled Legislature passed that bill, essentially sending Evers' own maps to his desk, despite the fact that most Democrats voted against it. Evers is then touring the state and holding press conferences in Hudson and Superior, the sources said. Whether that all means Evers will sign or veto the maps is not clear. However, it seems unlikely that he would veto the maps and then hold press conferences about it around the state. More likely, he's going to hold press conferences touting the maps as "fair," even though they are anything but - they rig it so that Democrats seize control of the Legislature under multiple credible scenario...
